
Pastor Anne Findlay-Chamberlain grew up near Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, where she learned to
love nature, sports, and God. After involvement in church throughout her
childhood, she came
to a relationship with Christ in college. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State
University
with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education in 1975. Through the 1980’s she combined being a
stay-at-home Mom with coaching and officiating field hockey and basketball, and
also played
competitive field hockey.
She graduated from Shippensburg University with an M.Ed. in
counseling
in 1985, and worked for over 17 years in private practice as a mental health
counselor, integrating Christian spirituality with the life issues and
challenges faced by
individuals, couples, families, and groups.

she began
formal training for ministry in 1999, and graduated from North Park Theological Seminary in
Chicago with Master of Divinity Degree in 2004.
During her studies she worked in pastoral
ministry as a hospital
chaplain at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in
Milwaukee, WI.
in Hana, Maui, where she served as minister for 3
years. She served as an intentional
Interim Senior Minister at Nu`uanu Congregational
Church in Honolulu for 1 year before
accepting the call as Senior Minister
at Manoa Valley Church in 2007. Pastor
Anne is called to
help individuals and congregations discover where God is in
their lives, what God is calling them
to do, and how to live out their
Christian faith in community.

Even before arriving in Hawaii, she was drawn to the ocean; you can now
find her at
Ala Moana Beach Park as often as possible. Anne follows many sports team, including the
Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, Penn State field hockey and football, and UH
football.
